Here are some personal tips that helped me in 10th grade. Remember, everyone learns differently, so find what works best for YOU! The 1st, 2nd, and 9th tips are something I found the MOST HELPFUl.
1. I Never Studied 10-12 Hours
The most important tip from me is this. Some people require 7-8 hours to revise for exams, other may require 5 hours for the same thing. It depends from person to person. Do what works the best for you. Make studying CUSTOMIZED. That's why I recommend testing your knowledge. Whenever there's a small, unimportant test in school your or coaching centre, go without studying Then, after seeing the results, you'll know how much preparation you need for specific subjects or topics. This trick can only work if you follow the SECOND point.
2. Understand, Don't Just Memorize
Focus on grasping concepts. If you understand why something works, remembering it becomes much easier than rote memorization. This is something that I personally feel is good. It, combined with FIRST point makes your studies smarter, not harder. These two tips are something that I use. It may work you YOU too!
3. Practice Past Papers Regularly
Solve previous year's question papers and sample papers. This helps you understand the exam pattern, time management, and common question types.
4. Teach Others (or Yourself)
The best way to solidify your understanding is to explain a concept to someone else. If no one's around, explain it aloud to yourself or even to a pet!
5. Maintain Good Notes
Organized and concise notes (like the ones here!) are invaluable for quick revisions before exams. Use diagrams, flowcharts, and highlights.
6. Take Regular Breaks
Studying for long hours without breaks can lead to burnout. Use the Pomodoro Technique (25 mins study, 5 mins break) or similar methods.
7. Stay Healthy and Hydrated
Don't neglect your sleep, diet, and exercise. A healthy body supports a healthy mind. Drink plenty of water!
8. Don't Hesitate to Ask Questions
If you're stuck, ask your teachers, classmates, or even me (via the contact section!). There's no shame in seeking clarification.
9. The Mindset
"Boards" are just like normal exams which you're giving in your school for years. The only difference is that you might not be in your own school, but some different one. That's it. Otherwise, boards are normal exams. So, stay confident in yourself. You've got this!
